About The Position

This position, while based in West Seattle, will help other branches as needed. The Customer Service Representative II (CSR II) is responsible for the acquisition, retention, and expansion of new and existing customer relationships. The CSR II provides exceptional customer service by taking ownership of the customer experience from introducing the customer to HomeStreet Bank through profiling the customer, assessing their banking and borrowing needs, and recommending appropriate products based on a thorough knowledge of HomeStreet products and services. The role includes providing a variety of teller services such as handling deposits, withdrawals, and maintaining accounts, as well as performing processing tasks such as making automatic transfers, updating records, and balancing. At all times, the CSR II is expected to provide superior customer service. The essential functions of the CSR II include new accounts and sales activities, where the representative effectively interviews and profiles new and existing customers to recommend appropriate banking products and services. The CSR II partners with other business lines within the Bank to identify sales opportunities and provide an outstanding customer experience. Responsibilities also include opening and closing customer accounts, actively taking advantage of sales opportunities, and making referrals to other business units for non-banking products. The CSR II must maintain thorough knowledge of bank products and services and participate in sales programs to generate new customers. In terms of service activities, the CSR II actively listens to customers, maintains a friendly and professional attitude, and resolves difficult situations with creativity and tact. The representative supports branch lobby management and consistently demonstrates proficiency in providing exceptional customer service utilizing the STAR (Seamless, Trustworthy, Attentive, and Resourceful) qualities either in person or on the telephone. The CSR II is also expected to participate in community events and perform daily teller services, balancing cash drawers, and maintaining compliance with HomeStreet's policies and procedures. The position may involve additional responsibilities as corporate needs evolve.
