Customer Service Representative I - Ball Memorial - PRN
About The Position
This is a PRN Position - No Hours Guaranteed - Position is for 2nd, 3rd, & Weekend Shift Availability We are searching for a team-oriented, energetic individual who takes pride in providing excellent service to patients, team members, and providers to join our team at IU Health, Ball Memorial Hospital. As a Customer Service Representative for over 100+ offices, you will be the primary contact for all of IU Health in the East Region functioning as the operations command that answers, routes, and manages critical and non-critical calls 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Computers & Telephone Inquiries Required
- Customer Service Experience Required
- Strong Verbal Communicator
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to type 30+ words per minute.
- Requires working knowledge of computers.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology Preferred
- Medical Office/Healthcare Facility Experience Preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding preferred.
Responsibilities
- Handling Internal and External Calls
- Screening Patient Information
- Paging, Documenting and Handling Operational/Facility Needs and Emergency Procedures
- Dispatching IU Health Police
- Utilizing & Scheduling Internal and External Providers
- Providing Directory Services
