About The Position

This is a high‑volume Urgent Care environment that requires effective patient interaction and the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; no prior experience necessary.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
  • Proficient computer skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong verbal and written communication, including collaboration with other sites via Teams.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and use multiple systems (EMR, insurance eligibility tools, Treasury applications).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional patient greetings and customer service.
  • Register patients in the EMR system.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and support in‑clinic needs.
  • Communicate effectively with clinic staff and other locations.
  • Respond to patient inquiries via phone and email.
  • Assess the appropriate method for issue resolution in accordance with patient needs and organizational guidelines.
  • Coordinate with other departments as needed.
  • Collect and enter patient demographic and billing information for scheduling and database accuracy.
