Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in business administration or similar preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Good organization skills with a positive work attitude.
  • Strong computer skills, extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite a must, including Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects, phones, prioritize workload and work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with professional conduct.
  • Excellent written, verbal and phone communication skills required.
  • Strong geometry and math skills.
  • Need to have good working knowledge of fabrication and installation in order to have good understanding of customer needs; must be detail oriented.
  • Working knowledge of customer door hardware application.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain broad knowledge of customers, product offerings, and services of the organization.
  • Document customer interactions and transactions.
  • Listen attentively to customer needs and concerns; demonstrate empathy and be an advocate for the customer.
  • Accurate processing and data entry of phone, fax and e-mail orders in accordance with cut off times and other time constraints that may exist.
  • Coordinate between sales and production to meet customer deadlines.
  • Maintain good communication channels with product and support staff.
  • Proactively communicate with customers to determine expected delivery date and time.
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying customers complaints; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustments; following up to ensure resolution.
  • Travel with outside sales personnel as required promoting customer relations.
  • Assist sales staff with expediting orders and communicate with production regarding orders.
  • Greet customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Participate in required internal educational sessions to enhance knowledge of product offerings and job skills.
  • Small project coordination/management.
  • Maintain good communication and good relationships with customers and co-workers.
