Requirements

  • Ability to lift bulk product deliveries up to 50 pounds (cases up to 3' x 1.5') from the floor and stack onto shelves up to 72" high using a hand truck.
  • Ability to carry large cans (3 pounds, 7 ounces) from workstation to storage shelves.
  • Ability to occasionally carry pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds from storage room to front of store.
  • Ability to carry trays of pizza dough (approximately 12 pounds per tray) three at a time over short distances.
  • Ability to push or pull a stack of trays on a dolly (approximately 24" - 30" high) requiring a force of up to 7.5 pounds.
  • Ability to infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, or perform maintenance.
  • Ability to perform forward bending at the waist at the pizza assembly station (approximately 30-45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously), at the front counter, and when stocking ingredients.
  • Ability to occasionally crouch/squat to stock shelves and clean low areas.
  • Ability to reach continuously (up, down, and forward), including above 72" for oven controls/signs, down for scooping cornmeal/washing dishes, and forward for topping ingredients/cleaning work surfaces/answering phones.
  • Eye-hand coordination is essential, with continuous use of hands throughout the day.
  • Ability to perform frequent and forceful use of forearms and wrists for shaping pizza dough.
  • Ability to manipulate a pizza peel when removing pizza from the oven and using a rolling cutter.
  • Ability to perform frequent and/or forceful pinching in the assembly of cardboard pizza boxes.
  • Ability to grasp cans, the phone, the pizza cutter, pizza peel, and pizza boxes.
  • Ability to talk and hear on the telephone.
  • Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks.
  • Depth perception.
  • Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
