About The Position

Responsible for all aspects of customer service, ranging from being the primary customer interface to working directly with all internal organizations throughout the entire customer purchase order life cycle. Under close supervision, the duties include assisting the team of regional sales managers by monitoring, following up, and proactively resolving inquiries, changes, and/or complaints.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree preferred. Minimum requirement of High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of customer service experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with SAP Manufacturing ERP software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Must have English reading, writing and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, write, and understand and communicate the company operating procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Sales Manager during the initial bid phase throughout all internal and/or external changes, culminating with product deliveries and achieving customer satisfaction.
  • Processes requests for Information/Quotation/Proposals with interactions with the Customer, Sales Manager, and internal organizations. Submits bid proposals to Customers directly or via the Sales Manager.
  • Supports negotiations of price, lead-time, and/or other elements of the bid as needed
  • Accurately documents bid status and results into the ERP systems.
  • Receives, reviews and accurately enters Customer Purchase and Change Orders.
  • Coordinates with Planning/Production Control for lead-time, minimum order quantities, and other essential information prior to acceptance of the customer order.
  • Provides status from Planning/Operations to Customer, as needed.
  • Negotiates to expedite fees when applicable.
  • Leads communications of relevant information between the Customer, Sales Manager, and internal organizations. Serves as the primary point of contact for prompt resolution of all customer concerns. Strives to balance business objectives with achieving customer satisfaction.
  • Documents and maintains an accurate list of contacts, meeting notes, programs, projects, and product usage information for customers.
  • Actively participates in company meetings, as required.
  • Coordinates with all internal departments and leadership to provide accurate customer information.
  • Accurately completes all administrative duties within required due dates.
  • Works in a safe manner following all departmental and plant safety rules. Reports any unsafe work conditions to the Safety Manager, supervisor, or management.
