Requirements

Responsibilities

• Interview patients at workstation or at bedside to obtain all necessary account information.
• Provide exemplary customer service to patients and their families.
• Ensure charts are completed and accurate.
• Verify all insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization as needed.
• Calculate and collect patient liability amounts accurately.
• Ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatments and releases.
• Process patient charts according to paperwork flow needs and established productivity standards.
• Interview incoming patients and their relatives to gather identifying and demographic information along with insurance and financial details.
• Assign Insurance Plans (IPlans) accurately based on patient information.
• Verify insurance benefits and determine pre-certification/authorization status via online or other resources.
