About The Position

The Customer Service Receptionist will provide quality customer service to clients and all other visitors in our busy Companion Animal Hospital at the renowned Helen Woodward Animal Center. Will effectively communicate hospital and Center policies and procedures to the public in a positive manner, schedule appointments, respond to all communications, including face to face contacts, phone calls, email, written communications and faxes, maintain client and animal records while managing the front desk. Maintain professional contact with veterinarians and other service providers in order to obtain complete animal records, including medical and vaccine history. Ability to accurately handle monetary transactions at check out and for retail purchases. Communicate needs, issues, and report urgent customer service or personnel issues to Hospital staff. The Customer Service Receptionist should have a minimum 6 months receptionist experience including multi-line phones or other customer service experience preferred. Basic computer knowledge required. Must possess professionalism, courtesy, tact, sound judgment and possess excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, and prioritization skills. Must be detail oriented and organized. Able to work and participate in both a team and self-directed environment. Must be able to work closely with animal (dog, cat, exotics) hair/dander. Experience with dogs and cats preferred.
