About The Position

As a Supply Chain Planner at GKN Automotive, you’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating production and supply activities. The position is responsible for developing and executing planning strategies that guarantee material flow, inventory reliability, and on-time delivery. You will partner with cross-functional teams—including procurement, manufacturing, and logistics—to align demand forecasts with operational capacity in a dynamic and high-impact setting. This role provides a strategic platform for optimizing planning performance in support of our manufacturing goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in production scheduling, supply chain planning, or inventory control.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data analysis tools.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency for global coordination.

• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems for planning and inventory control.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for effective decision-making.
• Skilled communicator and collaborator across cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of lean logistics and supply chain processes within the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage both day-to-day and strategic planning cycles to ensure production continuity and inventory accuracy.
• Configure and maintain planning parameters in ERP systems.
• Track supply chain KPIs such as delivery reliability and inventory turnover.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve supply issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to streamline logistics workflows.
• Support organizational excellence across GKN Automotive’s Mexican operations.
