Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • One year of previous experience with direct client communication - customer service
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Must have good oral communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior healthcare/pharmacy experience preferred
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Answer and submit inquiries regarding patient information and medication therapies
  • Take requests for refill orders, out on pass, patient discharge orders, and special delivery requests
  • Assist the pharmacist with facility and physician office communications
  • Obtain patient information for our database by calling patient care representatives and physician offices
  • Utilize judgement in knowing when to escalate issues to the management level
  • Utilize various programs such as Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Complete assigned projects upon request in a timely manner
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
