About The Position

This is not an official description, but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform. The Customer Service Person (Bagger) provides friendly and courteous service to customers, assisting them with their purchases by bagging items and placing them in carts, and carrying them to cars. The role also involves retrieving carts from the parking lot, maintaining cleanliness by picking up debris, stocking bags, emptying trash, and sweeping/mopping floors. Other duties include returning merchandise and verifying prices. Training will be provided at the store level. Requirements

• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
• Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time
• Able to work outside in seasonal weather
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)
• Internal Candidates: Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
• Internal Candidates: If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Place customers’ purchases into bags
• Place filled bags in cart
• Carry customers purchase to cars
• Retrieve carts from parking lot
• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands
• Empty trash from check stands and service center
• Sweep and mop floors
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the store management
