As a Customer Service Representative (Patient Registration), you will be responsible for helping patients check into the Emergency Department of the hospital. This is a fast-paced, high-volume department where you will be the person patients rely on to answer questions during registration. The role requires building trust by collecting information accurately and quickly, and by listening with compassion to address patient fears, concerns, and questions. To succeed, you need to be a confident multi-tasker, a quick study with technology, and able to type accurately and answer phones. No previous healthcare experience or knowledge is required, making it an ideal starting point for a healthcare career. The position is in a hospital/lab environment, so you must be prepared to encounter illness and injuries, especially in the emergency room. Comprehensive training will be provided. Prior to hire, candidates must be up to date on all vaccinations, pass a drug test, and pass a background check.
