About The Position
The Customer Service Lead (CSL) position at the Community Recreation Center is designed to foster positive relationships with customers by providing essential information about the Wilmette Park District's programs and events. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the CSL serves as the first point of contact for patrons, ensuring that all interactions are courteous and professional. This role requires a strong knowledge of the district's offerings, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele. The CSL will be responsible for processing registration requests and addressing customer inquiries in a timely manner. The position entails a commitment of 30-35 hours per week, which includes evening and weekend shifts. The Customer Service Lead may also be required to work at multiple Park District locations as needed. This part-time role is classified as PT1-ACA and includes IMRF and HMO Individual Health Benefits. The CSL will perform various essential duties, including providing information about park district programming, processing registrations for classes and activities, and assisting Recreation Supervisors with administrative tasks. The role also involves monitoring facility usage, ensuring compliance with park guidelines, and serving as a liaison for rentals and parties. In addition to customer service responsibilities, the CSL will support the Operations Supervisor in training new Customer Service Representatives and conducting ongoing training for existing staff. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and participation in required safety trainings. The Customer Service Lead must be able to handle a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of service.
