Customer Service Lead (Bookkeeper) Contributions: Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, address their needs, and answer questions about products and store policies. Transaction Processing: Efficiently operate the POS system to process purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately. Handle various forms of payment including cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments. Promotions and Discounts: Apply promotional codes and discounts accurately, and inform customers about ongoing sales and special offers. Bagging and Packing: Ensure items are bagged properly to prevent damage, using environmentally friendly practices in line with Earth Fare’s commitment to sustainability. Cash Handling: Maintain accurate cash drawers, manage cash flow, and ensure all transactions are balanced at the end of each shift. Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the natural and organic products sold in the store to assist customers effectively. Bookkeeping: Responsible for reconciliation and recording of cash register drawers and daily balancing of the Cash Office. Communication of cash or paperwork discrepancies, security issues, or customer service opportunities to the Front End Team Leader. Prepares daily bank deposits and change orders and prepares all cash office paperwork. Training: Coaches and trains cashiers on the standard operating procedures for the department.

Requirements

  • Previous cash handling and customer service experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Earth Fare experience preferred.
