Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher preferred (especially in Fluid Power or Technical programs).
  • 2+ years of customer service or inside sales experience, preferably in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid power, electrical, power transmission, motors, or motion control is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and able to quickly learn CRM systems (experience with Trend is a plus).
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Calm under pressure, with sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal sales teams.
  • Handle incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, and customer portals promptly and professionally.
  • Enter customer orders into the ERP system with a goal of 100% accuracy.
  • Prepare and enter quotes into the ERP system or shared directories.
  • Assist customers in finding the right components using product catalogs, web-based resources, and internal tools.
  • Expedite orders as needed to meet delivery commitments.
  • Provide solutions in a team-oriented environment and support outside sales as required (quoting, expediting, customer visits).
  • Follow up on quotes and actively support sales development, including up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.
