About The Position

Due to being an in-plant position, the below referenced job duties have been provided by the client: Job Summary Serves as the primary point of contact for global customers, managing the full order life cycle from initial inquiry to final delivery. Ensures all international transactions adhere to strict trade regulations, including EAR and ITAR, while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of customer service experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically handling international accounts.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Proven experience with U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and/or International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office (especially Excel); experience with Automated Export System (AES) filings is a plus.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as ECoP® (EAR or ITAR) or CUSECO® are highly desirable.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex trade regulations and apply them to daily order processing.
  • Detail Orientation: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and document preparation to prevent regulatory violations.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with international clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to resolve logistics bottlenecks and customer issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year.
  • Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break.
  • Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.
  • Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection.
  • Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.
  • Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Order Management: Process complex international orders, verify product availability, lead times, and pricing within ERP systems (e.g., SAP or Oracle).
  • Export Compliance Screening: Conduct and document Denied Party Screenings and embargo checks for all international transactions to ensure compliance with global trade laws.
  • Regulatory Documentation: Prepare and review critical export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and End-User Statements.
  • Classification Support: Assist in determining Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes for manufactured goods.
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with production, shipping, and freight forwarders to ensure timely, compliant deliveries and resolve any shipment delays or customs inquiries.
  • Customer Communication: Provide proactive updates on order status, handle technical product inquiries, and resolve customer complaints with professionalism and tact.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate, legally compliant records of all export-related documents and communications in accordance with government regulations (e.g., 15 CFR §762).
