Performs technical, mainly pre-defined tasks for accomplishing defined service delivery work for customer equipment. This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Customer Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing Imaging Equipment in the Bakersfield, CA area. Level could be adjusted based on prior experience. You are in a field-based, customer-facing role that primarily installs, services, maintains and modifies Siemens’ imaging equipment at customer sites. You are the 'Face of Siemens' to the customer. You support the CT/MR/Spect modalities initially with potential to cross train into another modality in the future. You are flexible and willing to work different shifts as business needs dictate, including willingness to work overtime as required. Advanced notice will be provided for any shift changes. You report to the Regional Service Manager at Siemens Medical Solutions.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment.
  • Experience in testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment.
  • Minimum Technical Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong electronics and computer skills.
  • 2 - 5 years of field service experience.
  • Ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with CT/MR/Spect Imaging equipment.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after training and certification.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing Imaging Equipment in the Bakersfield, CA area.
  • Installing, servicing, maintaining and modifying Siemens’ imaging equipment at customer sites.
  • Supporting the CT/MR/Spect modalities with potential to cross train into another modality.
  • Establishing and maintaining proper business relationships with customers and peers.
  • Performing necessary administrative duties accurately.
