Performs technical, mainly pre-defined tasks for accomplishing defined service delivery work for customer equipment. Service Area - Minneapolis, MN Shift flexibility may be required: ( 1st shift, M-F, (8AM - 5PM) This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Customer Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing Imaging Equipment needed in the (Minnesota) areas. Level could be adjusted based on prior experience. You are in a field-based, customer-facing role that primarily installs, services, maintains and modifies Siemens imaging equipment at customer sites. You are the 'Face of Siemens' to the customer. You will support the ( CT/MI ) modalities with potential to cross train into other modalities as needed in the future. You are flexible and willing to work different shifts as business needs dictate, including willingness to work overtime as required. Advanced notice will be provided for any shift changes. You report to the Regional Service Manager at Siemens Medical Solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum Technical Degree or equivalent (Military) experience.
  • Strong electronics and computer skills.
  • 5-10 years of field service experience is desired.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.
  • Ability to travel and provide service in assigned geography.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after training and certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment.
  • Previous experience with CT Imaging or Biomedical or other electronic/capital equipment based field service.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing Imaging Equipment in the Minnesota areas.
  • Installing, servicing, maintaining and modifying Siemens imaging equipment at customer sites.
  • Supporting the CT/MI modalities with potential to cross train into other modalities.
  • Establishing and maintaining proper business relationships with customers and peers.
  • Performing necessary administrative duties accurately.
