About The Position

As a brand ambassador for Kroger, you will provide excellent customer service while delivering customer orders directly to their homes. This role requires you to drive a company delivery vehicle, demonstrating safe and efficient driving behavior in accordance with Kroger's driving standards. You will embody the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety in all interactions with customers. Your responsibilities will include ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, maintaining communication with customers, and adhering to food safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must annually pass a DOT regulated medical exam
  • Good driving record
  • Ability to operate a delivery van and handheld tablet device
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • May require a chauffeur's license in some states

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a brand ambassador, providing excellent customer service while delivering orders to customers' homes.
  • Drive a company delivery vehicle safely and efficiently, following Kroger's driving standards.
  • Ensure customer orders are delivered on time and in good condition, resolving any issues that may arise during delivery.
  • Maintain customer communication while en route to inform them of any issues or changes to their delivery.
  • Control and maintain an accurate record of customer deliveries.
  • Assist fellow drivers who may encounter difficulties while delivering orders.
  • Ensure that goods are kept within the correct temperature guidelines and monitor temperatures to comply with food health and safety regulations.
  • Handle products safely and in accordance with food safety guidelines, reporting any serious breakages or contamination issues to a supervisor.
  • Complete pre-inspection checks of the company vehicle before use and report any defects to a supervisor.
  • Operate company-provided technology devices for mapping and customer interaction.
