The Customer Service Coordinator at Food City is responsible for providing efficient and courteous service to customers at all times. This role includes training new cashiers and courtesy clerks in all job-related areas, giving produce tests to authorized cash register operators weekly, and assisting in keeping checkout lines moving as quickly as possible. The coordinator will also assist cashiers in unloading the bottom of shopping carts, obtain change for cashiers as needed, approve checks, and maintain the security of all safe combinations entrusted to them. Additionally, they will be accountable for maintaining all proper paperwork, assisting cashiers with voids, delegating cleaning duties to appropriate associates, approving customer refunds, and regularly inspecting cashier tills. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
