About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of clerical/customer service experience required.
• Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service at the customer service desk.
• Assist customers with library services, policies, procedures, and basic technology.
• Retrieve library materials and shelve returned materials.
• Assist with programs and other library services.
• For Youth Services: Assist with innovative programming including story time, crafts, and STEM kits.
• Collaborate with local community groups, schools, and day care centers.
• Promote literacy and homework help resources.
• For Adult Services: Assist with programming including job labs, computer classes, and adult literacy classes.
• Utilize general knowledge of library resources to promote services.
