About The Position

Holiday Barn Pet Resorts is seeking a full-time Customer Service Associate for its Glen Allen location, offering a career opportunity in the pet industry. This role is crucial as the face of the pet boarding, daycare, and training facility, responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with both pets and their owners. Customer Service Associates engage directly with pet owners, assisting them in selecting appropriate services such as boarding, daycare activities, and grooming. Holiday Barn is a high-volume pet resort in Richmond, where daily interaction with pet owners regarding pet care is common. Candidates must be capable of managing all guest arrival and departure procedures, greeting customers professionally, and handling a high volume of phone calls efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Customer Service Associates are an integral part of the company's team, operating in alignment with its values and brand experience.

Requirements

  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls in a fast-paced environment with ease
  • Ability to lift and push up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and stretch
  • Ability to move pets within the facility, vehicles, up and down stairs, and in and out of enclosures

Responsibilities

  • Ensure positive relationships are developed and maintained with furry guests and their owners
  • Provide critical face-to-face interaction with pet owners
  • Help customers choose the best services for their pets
  • Help customers decide on fun playtime activities
  • Help customers pick an appropriate pet grooming service
  • Schedule boarding stays
  • Take care of all arrival and departure procedures for guests
  • Meet and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Work with customers during pick-up and drop-off
  • Multitask and handle a high volume of phone calls in a fast-paced environment with ease
