About The Position

The Customer Service Associate will assist advertising sales team members in the prospecting, booking, closing and maintenance of prospective and existing advertisers.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: At least one year of solid experience in an administrative role.
  • Able to read, write, clearly speak and understand English.
  • Ability to work in a windows-based and web-enabled desktop environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic math activities; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, simply, and accurately using proper business tone, grammar and punctuation.
  • Quantitative ability to read and comprehend account information and account management software.
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to handle all types of customers including those who might be irate or irrational providing excellent conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of an idea, plan, service, or product from prospects, existing customers, and teammates.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of information concerning customers’ accounts.
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective and existing advertisers.
  • Provide back up support to fellow team members as needed.
  • Assist in answering phone inquiries from existing and prospective customers.
  • Knowledgeable about the internet and digital opportunities including SEO and PPC.
  • Work independently to complete a set schedule of tasks daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Process all advertising with the assistance of the advertising sales representative full cycle - from ad order/layout to proofing and client approval.
  • Traffic advertising materials and liaise with clients as needed to meet closing deadlines.
  • Insertion order entry via the internal booking system, manifest corrections on a daily basis for team.
  • Back up buddy system for other coordinators on staff and cover for absent team members.
  • Assist in developing advertising sales proposals as needed.
  • Assist with client prospecting, through analysis and competitive media tracking to help develop a list of non-advertising prospects.
  • Assist with research and accounting needs relating to billing discrepancies and resolution.
  • Timely attendance during a regular and predictable schedule is required. Certain critical times of the work day exist during which duties of this position must be performed.
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential duties as assigned.
