About The Position

Dime Community Bank is currently hiring for a Customer Service Associate (CSA) - Floater (for Nassau branches) based out of its Huntington Branch in Long Island. The CSA - Floater will be responsible for completing deposit and withdrawal transactions, responding to customer inquiries, issuing money orders, cash advances and cashiers’ checks. The CSA - Floater will open, close, and provide service of all the bank's deposit and consumer loan products to Dime customers in the branch market area. The hourly wage minimum = $20; maximum = $29. The exact pay may vary based on skills, experience, training, licenses/certifications, language necessities, and location. All applicants need to attach a recent resume.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 2 years' retail banking experience preferred.
Cash-handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide account services to all Dime customers.
Expedite deposit and withdrawal transitions accurately.
Reconcile cash drawer by proving cash transactions, counting and packaging currency and coins.
Process night deposits bags.
Provide in-depth knowledge of Dime products and services to provide appropriate solutions to customers’ financial needs.
Possess current knowledge of regulatory requirements.
Report under the Bank Secrecy Act requirements related to Currency Transaction Report (CTR), Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) and Dime internal Suspicious Activity Tracking Report.
Respond to inbound Dime customer inquiries.
Support business development efforts of the branch manager through in-branch sales, phone and direct mailing campaigns.
Perform New Account and File Maintenance reviews to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data for SOX 404 purposes
Review, submit, process, and close consumer loan requests.
Make decisions within their realm of authority (i.e., overdrafts, overrides, signature guarantees) in lieu of absent managers.
