As a Customer Service Associate at Bronson Healthcare Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all customers, including patients, visitors, staff, and outside vendors, are greeted in a positive and professional manner. Your primary responsibility will be to provide overt hospitality and help maintain a safe environment within the healthcare facility. This includes screening all individuals entering the premises to assist in preventing infection exposure, offering escort assistance, providing directions, and managing patient belongings while ensuring a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. You will be expected to demonstrate competencies specific to the population served, especially if you are involved in direct patient care. In this position, you will be responsible for greeting, screening, and directing individuals entering the facility. This involves asking specific screening questions, providing visitor badges, and following clinical practice guidelines to ensure safety. You will also be tasked with providing masks or face coverings as needed and assisting customers with wayfinding within the department. Your role will require you to provide general information and maintain a friendly, positive, and professional demeanor, especially when dealing with aggressive behavior. You will need to access in-house patient names and room numbers through an electronic medical record system and be comfortable relating to diverse groups of people. Additionally, you will partner with the Bronson Security Department to oversee safety and security in your assigned area. This includes monitoring security cameras, reporting concerns to the security team, and controlling visitor access to the hospital. You will also be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing your workstation and supplies, monitoring waiting areas for cleanliness, and working collaboratively with nursing, security, and other departments to facilitate patient visitation. Other unit-specific responsibilities may include assembling or breaking down chart packets, answering phone calls, and controlling unit access.
