About The Position

As a Customer Experience Assistant at CarMax, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service in a hybrid work environment. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers through various communication channels, ensuring they have a seamless experience while buying and financing their vehicles. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent to 1-month related experience.
  • Thrive in a high energy and fast-paced environment.
  • Speak and listen effectively with CarMax customers via phone or in writing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including word processing and typing skills.
  • Flexible work hours with shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must meet minimum technology requirements (Type of internet service and Speed of internet service).
  • Candidates must live within 60 miles or 1 hour of the Customer Experience Center (CEC) location.

Responsibilities

  • Connect with customers online and over the phone to answer customer questions, conduct follow-ups, and confirm appointments.
  • Triage incoming calls to the appropriate person or department to best assist the customer.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as processing payments and updating information in CarMax systems.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures including collection policies/laws.
