About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English and/or Spanish.
• Ability to maintain relationships with employees and clients.
• Effective interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public.
• Ability to read and understand operating and airport procedures.
• Ability to handle pressure of working with high volume general public.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a customer service role, especially in an airport or transportation setting.
• Familiarity with airport security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the supervisor on duty at all times and review daily assignments.
• Provide wheelchair services, ensuring all security procedures are met and assist passengers through customs and baggage claim to the curb.
• Provide security at various areas including checkpoints, bag rooms, assigned gates, and ramps.
• Assist in checking passengers' boarding passes and baggage at checkpoints.
• Ensure all bags from the baggage belt have valid stickers and are accounted for.
• Monitor the secure area of the jet bridge and ensure no unauthorized personnel enter.
• Count and verify baggage loaded onto airplanes and ensure no questionable items are placed on board.
• Assist passengers and airline employees with baggage handling at the counter.
• Report any irregularities to prevent losses and damage.
