About The Position

Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978 by Donald and Sylvia Weeres. Our core business is in standard, next-day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years have expanded throughout the Midwest. The Customer Relations Manager will oversee the Customer Relations Consultants in their day-to-day operations and ensure our potential and current customers' shipping needs are being met. Hours and Wages Exempt salary position Starting wage: $70,000-92,500 per year, based on relevant years of experience, education, certifications, and comparison to other employees already in this role

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of customer service procedures and principles
  • Public speaking skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to coach and mentor others
  • Ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards
  • Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or other related field preferred
  • 5+ years of sales and/or marketing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of Customer Relations Consultants
  • Design and implement strategic plans to reach goals
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding tobacco, firearms, alcohol and other freight that may have federal guidelines
  • Identify opportunities for overall department cost efficiencies and improvements
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for management
  • Participate in organizing and leading weekly meetings and communicate goals and assignments
  • Attend and participate in trade shows, marketing and sales events, and forums
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Hire, train, discipline, and onboard new staff
  • Frequent travel is required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
