About The Position

The Customer Project Manager at Bombardier is responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for customers, managing multiple aircraft projects, and ensuring that all work is completed on schedule and within budget. This role involves coordinating communications, overseeing workflow, facilitating status meetings, and managing customer relationships to meet financial objectives. The position requires a strong background in project management within the aircraft maintenance environment, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in an aircraft maintenance environment with project management experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Customer Project Manager.
  • 4-year college degree preferred, not required.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license preferred, not required.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory governance (FAA, EASA, Transport Canada).
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance inspection programs.
  • Understanding of Environmental, Health & Safety regulations related to aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective relationship building with customers and team members.
  • Planning and organization skills for managing multiple projects.
  • Computer skills for operating various applications and systems.
  • Basic business acumen including accounting and budgeting principles.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Pivotal maintenance transactions.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a service center environment for Business Aircraft.
  • Ability to perform the role of Operations Manager when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact for customers in daily communications.
  • Coordinate and follow-up on time/labor/material quotes, preliminary invoices, and progress updates.
  • Upsell additional work to customers.
  • Perform project management duties for multiple aircraft, including risk identification and constraint management.
  • Price codes, work orders, and deliver Pro Forma invoices to customers.
  • Execute and maintain schedules through aircraft delivery and follow-up.
  • Monitor and oversee workflow to ensure work packages are on schedule and within budget.
  • Facilitate status meetings with all departments and shops; update daily reports on aircraft status.
  • Assist and coordinate special programs with Planning, Invoice Analysts, and Materials.
  • Review, approve, and sign final customer invoices as needed.
  • Perform post work package activities, including customer follow-up calls and issue resolution.
  • Meet or exceed facility financial objectives on all projects.
