The Customer Operation Watch Technician is responsible for battery replacement, and engraving services on timepieces, ensuring restored functionality, aesthetic excellence, and personalized customer offerings. This technician’s role is to deliver high-quality work that aligns with Movado Group’s standards for customer satisfaction and brand excellence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass a dexterity and tool-handling skills test.
  • Prior experience in watch battery service, refurbishment, or engraving preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision.
  • Effective English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install appropriate battery types and voltages for various watch models.
  • Inspect and clean battery terminals.
  • Set time and date functions following battery replacement.
  • Conduct functional and water resistance tests using pressure-testing equipment; document and report results.
  • Process documentation for customer engraving orders.
  • Use engraving software and operate engraving machinery independently.
  • Collaborate with the external teams for custom engraving requests or clarifications.
  • Ensure all engraving meets accuracy, placement, and quality standards.
  • Maintain engraving equipment and monitor software updates or troubleshooting needs.
  • Maintain clean, organized workstations and tools.
  • Document all service activities in tracking systems accurately and promptly.
  • Support physical inventory counts and special projects.
  • Provide backup support to other areas within SAV.
