About The Position

We are immediately hiring a Customer Logistics Manager (Transportation/Fleet Management) in Indianapolis, IN for our Supply Chain Solutions division. The 3rd shift Transportation Manager, internally referred to as Customer Logistics Manager, will oversee the day-to-day operations within an assigned function, and is responsible for all aspects of Operations and Driver Management. Mainly responsible for the leadership of direct reports as well as the attainment of daily operational goals within his/her assigned functional area.

Requirements

  • H.S. diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
  • Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
  • One (1) year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required.
  • Logistics industry knowledge advanced required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations advanced required.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components intermediate required.
  • Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production advanced required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations within an assigned function.
  • Responsible for all aspects of Operations and Driver Management.
  • Ensure customer service satisfaction and expectation management.
  • Manage staffing performance and development of exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Manage day-to-day planning and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Management and State/Local/Federal regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
