About The Position

The department is currently hiring for a Customer Information Center Specialist 1 within the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller’s office. Our Vision is to provide citizens with a resolution to various court-related inquiries. Employees in this classification will play an important role in assisting with receiving all inbound and outbound calls. The selected candidate will be expected to model the Clerk’s Mission, Vision, and Values; including teamwork, respect, integrity, compassion, and reliability. The position requires the applicant to be detail-oriented, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to multitask.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in clerical work which includes customer service experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous call center experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct customer service by phone to members of the public, other Clerk office departments, other Appointing Authorities, and business partners by answering standard and complex questions following business procedures, federal, state, and local rules, administrative orders, and Florida Statutes, in a courteous and efficient manner while demonstrating knowledge and patience
  • Performs typing/data entry, retrieval of a variety of legal documents contained on the Clerk's website, and case management system
  • Provide information and services to the general public and respond to inquiries and requests from attorneys, litigants, and the court
  • May perform a variety of tasks related to an automated office environment.
  • May perform cashiering duties, such as processing credit card transactions to include daily reconciliation of transactions
  • Performs other related job duties as assigned.
