About The Position

Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, the Customer Growth Representative role plays a critical role in driving the success of Pepsi Beverages Company by creating sales strategies and implementing and executing strategic selling initiatives across a portfolio of dedicated Customer accounts, including proactively seeking new business opportunities with potential customers and managing and growing those client relationships. Managing up to 200 outlets visited periodically throughout the month, this role’s main focus is selling the Pepsi Beverages product portfolio and fostering strong customer relationships to support annual operating plans. This position also collaborates closely with the commercial sales function to ensure alignment on execution strategies and presents key updates and performance insights to senior leadership on a quarterly basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and must have the following:
  • 2+ years of fact-based selling, customer account management, preferably within the CPG industry in a DSD environment
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated proficiency in making data-driven decisions.
  • Strong influence, relationship, management, and communication skills to achieve selling and customer initiatives
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. periodically, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications
  • Must be lawfully authorized and have the unrestricted right to work in the United States
  • Ability to travel within their defined geography on a regular basis

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strong relationships and collaborate with Key Account Managers, field sales leaders, and Selling Operations.
  • Deliver annual customer net revenue goals and share targets.
  • Conduct in-person visits to customer locations to secure sales commitments, influence purchasing decisions, and discuss customer needs with store-level decision-makers.
  • Present product options; recommend specific product mixes; and negotiate display, point of sale, point of purchase, and other product placement with customers and potential customers.
  • Discuss upcoming promotions and potential tie-ins.
  • Obtain purchase commitments.
  • Maximize volume and revenue in assigned accounts using fact-based selling and strategic execution.
  • Drive topline growth within a designated customer group (~200 accounts).
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with customers.
  • Create and execute selling strategies aligned with period priorities, including display and promotional opportunities.
  • Lead innovation and expand product distribution at the key account level.
  • Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development.
  • Enhance overall customer satisfaction through collaboration with Selling Operations and Commercial team.
  • Maintain strong alignment with regional district managers and PBNA commercial leads to support selling initiatives
  • Sell and prepare agreements for new customer acquisition.
  • Analyze business trends to develop and implement growth and sales strategies.
  • Present key updates and performance insights to senior leadership quarterly to advise on and influence sales strategy.

Benefits

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $66,700 - $103,900.
