About The Position

We are seeking an entry-level Customer Experience Specialist I to support our Consumer Direct Lending team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for consumers as they navigate the loan origination process following initial discussions with a licensed loan officer. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient processes and exceptional customer service within the Mortgage Fulfillment Division (MFD).

  • Mortgage or financial services call center experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of Federal, State, and Local mortgage regulations a plus
  • Detail-oriented, team-focused, and able to work independently
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and math skills
  • Effective time management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
  • Proficiency with computers and common applications (Microsoft, Google Suite, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Mortgage or financial services call center experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of Federal, State, and Local mortgage regulations a plus

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound and make outbound calls to consumers
  • Manage inbound text messages (with express consent) and send outbound texts
  • Handle high-volume calls and messages, providing excellent service for mortgage loan inquiries
  • Manage a pipeline of up to 75 loans
  • Perform routine data entry and validation
  • Respond to routine calls, emails, and chats from consumers, employees, and authorized third parties
  • Monitor work queues and take action when needed
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to expedite processing or resolve issues
