Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, plus experience in customer service and fast‑paced call‑center environments.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent active listening and the ability to follow verbal/written instructions.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency with computers, typing/data entry, and the ability to learn CAD and dispatch technology.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain EMD certification within 1–3 months of hire
  • Strong communication & active listening skills
  • Ability to stay calm and make quick, accurate decisions under pressure
  • Multitasking and organizational ability in fast‑paced environments
  • Proficiency with computers, typing, and dispatch/CAD systems
  • Critical thinking and sound judgment

Responsibilities

  • Dispatch EMS units to emergency and non‑emergency calls.
  • Prioritize incoming requests and manage resource availability.
  • Monitor crew status and maintain clear, accurate communication.
  • Document call details and updates in dispatch software.
  • Follow protocols to ensure safe, efficient operations.
