Position Purpose: Stays current with emerging trends, methodologies, and technologies in market research to ensure Centene leverages best-in-class approaches. Proactively recommends enhancements, leads pilot initiatives, and conducts meta-research to optimize research investments and outcomes. Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) within the research team, advising on methodologies and approaches that align with business objectives. Provides strategic guidance to Marketing, business partners, and external research agencies by developing a deep understanding of the business context and shaping research initiatives that uncover actionable market and consumer insights. Synthesizes data from multiple sources—both qualitative and quantitative—to deliver clear, concise, and business-relevant recommendations. Leads and executes research independently and in collaboration with agencies, using a broad range of tools and techniques. Effectively communicates insights and opportunities to senior leadership to inform and influence business strategy. Evaluates trends and advancements in market research methods. Synthesizes past research insights, secondary research and other data sources to establish baseline understanding to create a sharper focus for future research efforts Acts as a thought partner to recommend research, interpret results and identify action steps by leveraging deep business and category knowledge to understand their business needs and goals so research outcomes address those needs and are aligned with objectives Develops deep business and category knowledge to understand internal partner needs and goals so research outcomes address those needs and are aligned with objectives Designs and conducts qualitative and quantitative research that sheds light on new untapped opportunities and statistically valid direction on member and consumer needs, preferences, attitudes and behaviors Advises on strategic research agency relationships and leverages agencies to create flawless and insightful deliverables with rich, story driven analysis Develops and delivers story-driven presentations with clear, concise and business-focused recommendations and business opportunities for future action that are grounded in a keen understanding of business and industry dynamics Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Market Research, Marketing, Consumer Behavior, or a related field in business, communications, or social sciences required
  • 8+ years relevant professional experience in market research, analytics or a related discipline required
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying statistical tools and methods, including but not limited to SPSS, R, Python, and techniques such as correlation analysis required
  • Experience with online data collection tools such as Qualtrics required
  • Proven ability to coach, advise, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various levels of seniority required
