About The Position

The Operations Retail Advisor specializes in minimizing credit risk exposure and credit losses by executing established collections procedures. This role requires strong business communication skills and judgment to enforce compliance with contractual payment terms by contacting customers directly. The Advisor will manage internal and external customer queries, oversee disconnect and reconnect processes, and contribute to departmental projects and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business or five (5) years business experience in lieu of degree
• Commercial collections experience required
• Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Nice To Haves

• Preferably 3 years of high-volume corporate collections experience
• Knowledge of billing and collections procedures

Responsibilities

• Specialize in the collection of debt owed to ENGIE
• Escalate accounts requiring disconnect for non-payment (DNP) to the collection team for prior customer contact
• Demonstrate expertise in market regulations related to billing and collections
• Advise credit department on payment history for customer renewals
• Collaborate with Transaction Management Team for disconnects, drops, reconnects, and move-outs (MVO)
• Develop documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures, for collection activities
• Recommend process improvements to streamline collection activity
• Coordinate with sales, legal, cash application, and other groups to resolve customer disputes
