About The Position

As a Field Service Engineer [Customer Engineer] at Applied Materials, you serve as the direct liaison with customers, collaborating closely to install, maintain, and upgrade equipment. You'll use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques to assess and address technical issues. Your responsibilities include performing preventative and corrective maintenance on various systems such as electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems. Additionally, you'll coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service. We are looking for a highly talented customer engineer to join our account team & integrate within our field support group in Kiryat Gat to provide a unique customer experience by demonstrating outstanding technical capabilities and inter-personal skills. Requirements

  • B.Sc. or Practical Engineer in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering , field service experience, or trade certification
  • Willing to learn and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport, if travel is required.
  • This position will requeir Frequent Business Travel (6-8 secutive weeks stay) every querter to Ireland, US, or another site, depending on organizational needs.
  • Participation in an Frequent Business Travel is a core requirement of this role.
  • The timing, duration, and location of any travel will be determined solely by the company based on business priorities, field needs, and product maturity.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of work experience in customer/field service support, or a related technical field
  • Associate degree in electronics or engineering technologies
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics
  • Familiarity with hand tools and their appropriate usage, including digital multimeters

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers [Customer Engineers] in installing, maintaining, and upgrading customer equipment
  • Use digital analytics for troubleshooting
  • Apply basic diagnostic techniques to assess equipment and address technical issues, with guidance from Senior Field Service Engineers [Customer Engineers]
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems (training provided)
  • Coordinate and communicate directly with customers
  • Fulfill additional duties, as assigned
