About The Position

The Customer Development Manager serves as the primary interface between the company and its customers, overseeing day‑to-day relationship management. This role ensures strong two‑way communication and leads all aspects of account management, including setting and achieving sales goals. It also collaborates closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to deliver a seamless and effective customer experience. This role is open to candidates in all U.S. states.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred, or 5+ years of experience in customer development or customer support.
  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple channels and collaborating with various areas of an organization, with strong selling skills or the ability to build positive customer relationships.

  • Background in the tire industry strongly valued.
  • Demonstrates sound analytical thinking and a solid grasp of fundamental business principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed customer‑specific sales volume goals while protecting market pricing and gross margin targets.
  • Build strong customer relationships and maintain clear, proactive communication to ensure full alignment on priorities and expectations.
  • Support customer events, shows, and key initiatives as needed to reinforce partnership and engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including Executive Management, Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Warranty/Tech—to ensure a seamless, friction‑free customer experience.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs for customer personnel, including their sales teams and product/reporting groups.
  • Leverage internal Mickey training tools and resources to enhance customer capability and performance.
