Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Reliable, hardworking team player.
  • Ability to use Microsoft computer applications for communication, emails, and training.
  • Ability to pass a full physical as well as a drug test to work in a physically active role.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with facility maintenance activities in a manufacturing, custodial, medical, or laboratory environment.
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day in a physically active role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of environmental service duties to support customers in a biomedical laboratory and manufacturing facility.
  • Ensure the facility including restrooms, locker rooms, cafeterias, warehouse, equipment, and storage areas are cleaned and in good condition.
  • Clean and stock glassware and other reusable laboratory products.
  • Inspect mechanical and utilities rooms for proper operation, safety hazards, and logbook completion.
  • Remove Biohazard waste materials from the labs and processing areas.
  • Coordinate with and escort vendors and contractors for repairs, maintenance, and other service items.
  • Provide on-call and off-shift support as needed to maintain uninterrupted facility and lab operations.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory of critical spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials.
  • Stock and organize supplies for all required areas of the scope.
  • Operate Microsoft Applications for charting, email, training, etc.
  • Follow standard procedures and execute activities independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Complete documentation in a regulated environment such as completing logbooks, training, and communicating with other groups.
