About The Position

The Customer Care Representative at McGrath RentCorp serves as the primary point of contact for both external and internal customers, focusing on providing exceptional service in the rental of electronic and environmental test equipment. This role requires quick problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage a high volume of calls effectively. The representative will work closely with various departments to ensure customer needs are met and issues are resolved efficiently.

Requirements

• 2 years in a customer support environment.
• Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday from 10am-7pm.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office and Excel.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a tech-heavy environment such as 5G, IoT, or aerospace and defense.

Responsibilities

• Handle and process customer service calls related to the rental of electronic and environmental test equipment.
• Provide final resolution for service calls including repairs, returns, exchanges, and equipment un-sells.
• Assess situations independently for the benefit of both the customer and the company.
• Evaluate equipment returned from customers and determine its status.
• Resolve discrepancies with customers and provide necessary documentation and return logistics.
• Provide technical expertise to internal support staff and external customers.
• Continuously learn about the business, customers, and equipment to adapt to changing needs.
