About The Position

The Construction Project Manager at McDonald's Australia will play a crucial role in managing the development of new and existing restaurants across the NSW market. This position is integral to the National Development Group, contributing to the company's growth through new openings and reinvestment projects. The role involves collaboration with various teams, ensuring compliance with construction standards, and managing the entire construction process to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager
• Exposure to a franchise business model in a well-known brand
• Knowledgeable in construction staging, programming and site safety execution
• Strong understanding of Australian Construction Building codes and Australian Standards
• Ability to capture and influence business owners (franchise or small)
• Strong Written and Verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Degree in construction or project management
• Field experience in construction management

Responsibilities

• Working hand in hand with the real estate team to deliver the new store pipeline
• Coordinating and evaluating Site Investigation reports including the availability of services, geotechnical and contamination assessments
• Managing and liaising with governing authorities during approval and development process
• Managing the development of project documentation, ensuring compliance with all departmental procedures and processes
• Managing the tender process, evaluation and appointment of contractors, nominated subcontractors and suppliers
• Managing the construction process ensuring stakeholders are kept informed through regular site meetings and formal status reports
• Ensuring construction projects are delivered to time & budget
• Coordinating the project handover process to ensure the operations team are fully briefed on the operation and maintenance of all items
• Facilitating and actioning ad hoc building requests from key stakeholders
