About The Position

The Associate Director, Product Management, will lead a team of business analysts/product managers in Customer Care. They will work with several cross-functional teams to execute a unified Product strategy including, but not limited to, product portfolio expansion, application development and business process optimization in an agile environment. This role will communicate cross functionally at all levels of our business. The individual will be responsible for the continued successful support of Product teams across Exact Sciences, focusing on two or more product areas and/or complex features within a larger product line.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field of study; or High School Degree/General Education Diploma and 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • 6+ years of experience leading or directing people and/or project teams.
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience working with the product management discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to agilely adapt to the respective audience (team member to senior leadership).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure team's work is in alignment with department objectives and informed by strategic direction from leadership.
  • Define and own the product roadmap for two or more product sub pillars and manage a group of product managers or other leaders, leading the product delivery and execution.
  • Develop and communicate the product vision and strategy to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment around product goals and initiatives.
  • Be a resource for and mentor junior product managers by providing insight, recommendations and guidance on product management best practices.
  • Evaluate market trend and competition to identify new product opportunities and innovation.
  • Focus on aligning the product management team to execute on a unified product strategy.
  • Execute product strategy by receiving objectives from the leadership team and determine how to utilize resources to meet objectives and timelines.
  • Maintain strong relationships and transparency with key stakeholders across multiple functions and at all levels of the organization.
  • Represent Product management in cross-functional initiatives, and work across the product management function to align on execution.
  • Work on complex matters where analysis of issues, data, processes, and situations require advanced knowledge of departmental objectives and in-depth industry/technical knowledge.
  • Work with subject matter experts and other IT partners to design processes and systems that add business capabilities, improve operations efficiencies, and increase the organization's ability to scale.
  • Effectively manage, support, and guide your team, including, but not limited to delegating tasks and responsibilities, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.
