About The Position

Evergy is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Customer Care Advocate at the Raytown Customer Center. The role involves basic clerical, bookkeeping, and account knowledge, and requires the ability to interview customers through various communication mediums. Responsibilities include handling applications for service, extensions, new service, construction, and high bill inquiries. The advocate will furnish detailed account information, respond to inquiries regarding bill payments, perform detailed analyses such as rate adjustments, and resolve disputes. Additionally, the position involves credit and collection work, handling customer inquiries, complaints, and requests for adjustments. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, along with experience in business math, writing, interpersonal relations, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in an inbound call center preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in CCB system.
  • Demonstrated skills in consulting, conflict resolution, customer service orientation, and emotional resilience.
  • Ability to balance corporate objectives with customer needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in business math and business writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and empathy.

Responsibilities
