We are looking to hire a Customer Business Manager II immediately supporting the Central Region Sales Team managing the Stop & Shop account. The ideal candidate would be based within two hours driving or flight distance to Quincy, MA and be able to travel with frequency up to 25%. The Customer Business Manager II will report to the Northeast Geo Region Sales Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or closely related field
  • 6 years Sales, Marketing, or related experience with a minimum of 4 years’ CPG industry experience successfully managing a customer at HQ Level
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and complexity
  • Self-motivated: strong drive and work ethic
  • Understands how Sales integrates with other internal commercialization areas including trade marketing, supply chain, and sales finance
  • Aptitude to make data-driven, insightful decisions
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication combined with polished presentation capability
  • Analytical mindset and in-depth understanding of Circana/Nielsen consumer insight driven business planning
  • Solid understanding of CPG industry sector and competitive landscape
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of McCormick products, mix, and categories
  • Experience with Tableau Power BI reporting tool
  • Stop & Shop and Ahold customer understanding/relationship

Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering customer plans to achieve volume objectives and primary day-to-day selling interface at customer HQ
  • Manage sales of McCormick category and product offerings, policies and procedures, score carding, annual planning reviews, determine pricing, shelving, forecast & distribution for existing brands and new products
  • Sell-in of retail controllables with customer (mix, promotion, shelf, display) and manage deal negotiations
  • Determine appropriate product mix and gain subsequent distribution
  • Manage TPM forecast and trade spend promotion system
  • Infrequent overnight travel required to key markets/accounts as needed to support the business (25%)
