About The Position

Hope Haven is an accredited resource for disability services and advocacy. We offer service programs and support to meet a broad range of needs for children, adults, and families - from physical, mental, and intellectual to residential, vocational, and spiritual. The position available is for a Customer Assistant I at Thrifty's, a retail thrift store that receives donated items from the area, identifies what can be utilized, and then sells the products to the general public at the store location. The role involves various sales activities and customer assistance duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED/HSED preferred
• Negative drug screen
• Must be 18 years of age
• Must pass a health assessment at time of hire
• Clearance from a criminal background check and abuse reporting check at time of hire

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers
• Answering questions of customers
• Offering assistance to customers
• Suggesting items / lending opinions to customers
• Providing product information to customers
• Operating cash register, computing sales prices, total purchases and receiving and processing cash, credit card or check payment
• Ticketing, arranging and displaying merchandise to promote sales
• Cleaning shelves, counters, tables, and other cleaning duties as assigned
