About The Position

As a Customer Account Advisor at Aaron's, you will serve as a coach to our customers, driving payment collections and lease agreement renewals by understanding lease agreement benefits and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will build relationships with customers both over the phone and face-to-face, helping them move closer to ownership. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to navigate difficult conversations while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old in the United States with a valid state Driver's License; 18 years old in Canada.
  • Must meet DOT requirements to obtain certification in required states (United States).
  • Ability to work a schedule varying from 8 am to 9 pm.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without help and up to 300 lbs. with assistance.
  • Two years of retail/customer service experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High energy with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proper telephone etiquette.
  • Uphold the Aaron's Brand and protect company assets.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update customer accounts in the store computer system.
  • Document all customer payment appointments.
  • Directly contact customers who have not renewed their lease agreements through home visits and phone calls.
  • Sell customers on the benefits of timely lease agreement renewal payments.
  • Assist the Customer Account Manager in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly revenue and renewal goals.
  • Assist with merchandise returns and guest deliveries as directed by management.
  • Clean and certify merchandise in the Quality Assurance Center for all items personally returned.
  • Complete and maintain weekly vehicle maintenance and route sheets.
  • Load, secure, and protect products in the company vehicle.
  • Safely operate the company vehicle.
  • Assist the Sales Team as needed.
  • Perform any reasonable duties requested by management.
