About The Position

The Customer Account Specialist is responsible for managing day-to-day interactions with customers, processing orders, and ensuring a smooth flow of information between the customer and internal departments. This role plays a key part in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting the production and delivery of fabricated metal products. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Internal Relationships: All Departments External Relationships: Regular contact with customers or prospective customers Traits Displayed: Demonstrates high energy and solution-focused thinking, while maintaining keen attention to detail and a service-oriented mindset. Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account matters.
  • Proactively managing customer transactions accurately and promptly, including sales order entry, quote entry, resolving issues with billing, shipping, and quality, customer changes.
  • Work closely with Business Development team to support customers effectively while constantly improving customer relationships.
  • Manage high volume of emails efficiently.
  • Have an action-oriented approach, with a sense of urgency and responsiveness in solving issues.
  • Advocate for customers internally, while supporting the company's best interests.
  • Understand the daily production needs of manufacturing to guarantee high machine utilization with profitable customer relationships.
  • Monitor job flow through our production software and communicate with team members and customers to ensure timely status updates and on-time delivery.
  • Contribute to the achievement of department and/or company goals as requested.
