About The Position

The Customer Account Manager (CAM) at Crane Aerospace & Electronics is responsible for managing the commercial relationship with assigned Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers in both commercial and defense sectors. The role emphasizes achieving annual revenue and profit targets while minimizing risk and liability for the company. The CAM will lead the entire commercial lifecycle with customers, focusing on growth and profitability, and will require strong business acumen, leadership, and problem-solving skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business management, program management, sales, or business development in an Aerospace environment.
  • Experience in the Aerospace Industry and International Business (depending on account assignment).
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex aerospace contracts and proposals.
  • Success in negotiating and responding to government contracting proposals and terms and conditions as required.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • BA or BS degree in Business Management/Administration or relevant field of study; MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the entire sustaining commercial lifecycle with assigned customers.
  • Lead development of profitable business proposals and manage CA&E approval through the business committee process.
  • Execute pricing strategies and plans to maximize the value of CA&E products and services.
  • Become a subject matter expert on assigned customer contracts and lead successful negotiations of terms and conditions.
  • Leverage exceptional presentation and communication skills to propose and present strategies to large, cross-functional teams including senior leadership.
  • Manage and coordinate escalation and resolution of issues.
  • Comprehend complex technical and commercial details to communicate customers' needs and requirements effectively.
  • Understand and manage information flow related to specific customer and/or market demand.
  • Develop knowledge of Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP) to support forecasting, demand management, and contract compliance.
  • Establish close relationships with customer purchasing, technical, and program management personnel.
