About The Position

The Customer Account Associate is a key member of the Customer Account team, providing support to the Account Director/Senior Manager, Customer Account Managers (CAM), and/or Senior Customer Account Specialists (SCAS). The Associate ensures alignment with the team they support and oversees systems administration to ensure smooth team operations. This role is responsible for important tactical work that will drive efficiencies within the account team(s) and NGT. Location Requirement: HQ preferred or Field Sales Office based (Solon, Arlington, Seattle, Nashville, Eden Prairie, Loveland, Rogers, San Antonio, or Tampa). Organization: Neighborhood Grocers Team – (NGT is a dedicated Sales Team within Nestlé USA that drives growth by partnering with a diverse network of neighborhood retailers and wholesalers across all NUSA Divisions) Location Requirement: HQ preferred or Field Sales Office based (Solon, Arlington, Seattle, Nashville, Eden Prairie, Loveland, Rogers, San Antonio, or Tampa).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 1–2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel (Vlook up) required. Hands on AI knowledge preferred.
  • Strong time management skills required. Previous experience in an administrative or support role is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and other collaboration tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of sales fundamentals: pricing, promotion, assortment, merchandising is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering support to help achieve annual sales targets, drive profitable sales, and share growth.
  • Organize and/or lead team specific meetings and platforms to drive efficiencies of the broader group.
  • Manage customer forms, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Coordinate and assist with strategy building for large-scale meetings and planning sessions, including joint business planning and integrated commercial planning.
  • Attend internal business meetings & customer meetings (as opportunities arise).
  • Assist with item setup, including entering relevant data into forms and/or systems.
  • Track new items, big bets, other ad hoc tracking & monitoring activities.
  • Gather ad tracking via Numerator.
  • Compile digital product and ad images.
  • Support with promotional contracts in customer systems, confirm dates, lead times, and amounts, and review with Account Manager.
  • Manage sample ordering process and track sample inventory.
  • Drive excellence in execution through continual interaction with Nestlé Retail Sales team (NRS) and/or Distributor Sales team.
  • Responsible for NRS and Distributor communication & activities (sell sheets/booking sheets, etc.).
  • Partner with Sales Operations Managers (SOMs) as liaisons for Account Team(s).
  • Collaborate with CAMs/SCASs to fix NRS/Distributor Team reporting and mapping.
  • Support NGT Division liaison with division activities/initiatives.
  • Coordinate division specific meetings & communication.
  • Responsible for automated customer reports.
  • Own personal development through adoption of capability tools and participation in career development programs.
  • Develop critical behaviors (Ways of Winning) through robust PDP process.
  • Utilize data and reporting tools to support 4P (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) objectives and provide actionable insights.
  • Actively ensure timely & effective communication with internal partners – Leaders, CAMs, Field Execution Teams (Nestlé Retail Sales & Distributor Team), etc…
